The CK is Geely's first offering in a few GCC markets, such as Saudi Arabia and the UAE, although it first went on sale in China a couple of years prior. The name "CK" somehow stands for "Freedom Ship" or "Free Cruiser" in Chinese. The CK holds the distinction of being the first Chinese automobile ever displayed at an American auto show, although it has never been allowed to be on sale there.
