It has been a packed day at Geneva International Motor Show here at Doha Exhibition & Convention Centre in Qatar. We witnessed both regional and local launches from various brands such as the 2023 TOYOTA MIRAI by the local dealer, Al Abdulghani Motors in Doha.

Along with the Toyota Landcruiser GR-SPORT a 3.5L V6 twin-turbo engine that is practically made for this regional terrain.

Tour d’Excellence of the Geneva International Motor Show (GIMS) reached its grand culmination in Doha, Qatar, after a 34 days and 8000 km drive. The two crews, led by Frank M Rinderknecht, CEO of Rinspeed AG and Rainer Zietlow, owner of Challenge4.de, left Geneva on August 28. The arrival in Doha not only marks the completion of this incredible journey, but also celebrate the upcoming opening of GIMS Qatar automotive festival which will take over the city of Doha and beyond from 5 to 14 October.

BMW is going electric. Well, it hasn’t ditched combustion power just yet – and may not do so for at least the foreseeable future – but the Bavarian marque’s agenda is to electrify a substantial chunk of its lineup by the end of the decade. In a telling sign of what’s to come, the all-new G60 5 Series (due on sale locally by the end of the year) has been split into two distinct offerings.
