Suzuki Swift 2011 redesign revealed
Suzuki has released first information and pictures of the redesigned 2011 Suzuki Swift. Looking more like a minor facelift than a major update, the new model is 9 cm longer with the wheelbase extended by 5 cm, with a new engine on offer.
The new Euro-spec motor is just as underpowered as the 1.3-litre before it, now downsized to a 1.2-litre 4-cylinder unit making only 92 hp. Fuel economy is the focus here, at a rated 5 litres/100 km. However, GCC-spec models currently get a 1.5-litre unit.
The new model will be built in Hungary first for the European market, and likely spread to other regions by the end of the year.
