Aston Martin Virage debuts in Geneva Motor Show

Aston Martin’s range just got bigger. They have just launched the 2012 Aston Martin Virage Coupe and Virage Volante at the Geneva Motor Show. This takes its place in the Aston Martin sporting GT family between the DBS and DB9, although it looks like they designed it by modifying a picture of a DB9 on Photoshop.

Under the hood, the hand-built 6.0-litre V12 produces 490 hp and 570 Nm of torque, and all this power is kept in control with the 6-speed automatic transmission. If you are suddenly feeling adventurous, a ‘Sport’ button is there to quicken throttle response and gear shifts. The suspension has one normal mode and a sport mode with 5-different levels of stiffness. Adaptive Damping System helps to improve handling performance.

The interior is hand-stitched and apparently when you enter the car, you are greeted with the aroma of leather which is made from the skins of seven different animals. Interesting.

Expect the Aston Martin to be in the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Bahrain, Qatar and other GCC countries by the end of the year.

Keep track of latest prices and updates in the Aston Martin buyer guide.

  1. 490 HP is just not enough is it??

even the Jaguar XK-R has 510 Hp now =/

    • I agree man, Aston Martin has always been low in HP compared to the competitors.

And this car is actually not as pretty as the DB9, the rear end is very high from the ground!

I don’t see it Aston Martin at all now, the end looks more like the cheaper, more powerful XKR.

But as always, the interior is unbeatable!
