Scion FR-S modified trio showcased at SEMA
At this year’s SEMA show you will get to see three tuner-readied Scion FR-S, better known as the Toyota 86 here in the UAE. A Scion-sponsored competition has given three individual tuners the chance to go head-to-head in a FR-S design competition.
Each of the competitors got their very own FR-S, $15,000 for mods and three months to turn the stock car into show-ponies. Judges at SEMA will score each of the rides on various categories and the winner will take home a hefty cheque for $10,000.
The Carbon Stealth FR-S built by John Toca gets an engine force fed by a Vortech Supercharger and some Cusco suspension parts. The exteriors this car gets a full body kit and wheels while the cabin insides get alcantara interior and leather Recaro buckets seats.
Daniel Song’s FR-S GT looks like pared-down GT racer. A wide-body kit by JONSIBAL, a full roll cage, a Sparco racing seat and plenty of carbon-fibre detailing all add purpose to the look. This one too gets the same Vortech Supercharger.
Chris Basselgia’s mint green FR-S was a breath of fresh air with some it’s paint scheme, a leather-trim interior and audio system enhancements. For some extra snell Chris added a custom billet intake and an Eaton blower. It also comes equipped with high-performance Neo Motorsports 6-piston calipers.
