Kia Optima 2014 facelift unveiled
The 2014 Kia Optima has been unveiled at the 2013 New York Auto Show. The facelift is minor, and it remains to be seen if this US-spec design applies to cars coming to the GCC from Korea.
The new front fascia has repositioned LED lighting above the headlights, while new quad-LED foglights on the redone front bumper seem to be optional. At the rear, Kia has redesigned the LED taillamps a bit.
Other changes to the Optima for 2014 include two new displays inside the cabin -– a 4.3-inch TFT display in the gauge cluster and an optional 8-inch high-resolution screen on the centre-console for navigation and infotainment data. There are also new seats inside, thanks to complaints about the flat seats in the outgoing model. Optional new safety features include blind-spot monitoring and cross-traffic alert.
The engines have not been changed, although the American market already do get better direct-injection engines than what you see in showrooms around UAE and Saudi Arabia. It remains to be seen how many of these features make it to GCC-spec models, and if Kia continues with the old motors here.
Keep track of future prices and updates in the Kia Optima buyer guide.

Yeah pretty. Almost lexusie from the side profile but really how reliable are these over 5 years?

I had once Kia optima 2007 and after 3 years head gasket blown due to over heating. Since then hate Kia. They are more into looks than reliability.

samer its just some Honda fanboys, other day we had Nissan group when Sentra & Pathfinder was launched, followed by Mazda fanboys when 6 was launched, anyway they all will go and buy a Toyota after reading and writing all this.

When Honda manufactured good looking cars?especially interior ugly as … check the 2008 civic and accord . for ext check civic hatchback .
Thanks to Kia more car manufacturers improving their cars , they feel intimidated with Kia`s progress.

Kia, now they have a good designer, Peter Schreyer and the best example for that is Kia Koup. just check its perfection, paint quality and shut lines. they introduced some expensive options (from Ultra luxury cars) to common man, like panoramic roof, push start/kill. led DTRLs, automatic fold-up OVRMs etc. Don’t discard KIA blindly. the most important thing, they got NHTSA five stars and euro NCAP four stars, where toyota camary and nissan altima failed.
reza
gcc in cars is a place that u pay 30% more than usa that have tax and get less option

Its simply amazing….love the new face lift.
Bravo!
Aditya
This looks like the bastard child of an audi. I guess koreans are quite good at that. First samsung reverse engineers apple products , and now kia/hyundai reverse engineering audi.
*facepalm*
Guru
Exaudi vw designer Peter Schreyer is President of Hyundai Kia now since few mnths after being designer of kia since last few yrs

The amount of stupidity displayed by some people is unbelievable. I bet you most of these idiots haven’t even test drove any Kia car, yet they keep repeating what they have heard 10 years ago like sheep. Ever since I came to the Country I have been hearing about how reliable Toyota cars are, yet during my trails they proved to be below par in some aspects. Please get your facts right before obliterating people with mindless rubbish and nonsense. Oh and the guy who says Kia uses Hondas old designs..I seriously do not understand how you still function in society!
prado
earlier KIA = Killed in action
now KIA = Killer in action
@john
south Asians have this problem their “education” on vehicles (or for that matter any thing) is mostly word of mouth… you show them a JD powell report on vehicle quality they think the rating stars is for christmas decorations….
I hate this guy called prado
Hey Prado,
Just shut your mouth and do your duty.Wht the F** you are talking you dumbass. Why do you need to talk about the country when replying a person. You must be an i*** so that you cant write your own name publicly and crying on all the people.
Dr khan
