2016 Toyota Fortuner officially revealed
Toyota has officially revealed the all-new Fortuner, after a decade of remaining nearly unchanged.
The Hilux-based Fortuner gets a more upscale exterior design, with the higher-spec models featuring LED headlights and taillights as well as daytime running headlamps. It is 4795mm long, 1855mm wide and 1835mm tall.
It is still a proper off-roader as the suspension setup consists of a double-wishbone front-end, while in the back it gets a 5-link coil-spring setup, unlike the Hilux which has a leaf-spring configuration.
Four-wheel-drive with low-range gearing is standard in many markets, although we expect a two-wheel-drive version to be available as well. Higher-spec models will be equipped with smart keyless entry and start, roof rails and a downhill-assist control system.
From the solitary interior photo as well as previous leaked images, we can see that the 2016 Fortuner gets an all-new interior with an updated infotainment system. The seven-seat configuration will be standard in most markets.
Specs for petrol engines are not out yet, but likely remains the same as the current generation, which include 2.7-litre 4-cylinder and 4.0-litre V6 units.
The 2016 Toyota Fortuner should become available in the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar and other GCC countries by the end of this year.
Keep track of updates in the Toyota Fortuner buyer guide.

the 4.0 L engine is a good one, but they need to change the transmission, it should be 6 speed, enough with the 4 and 5 speed rubbish

Hello everyone
Just try to visit your nearest toyota’s showroom and asked them the time of arrival,I am 12, I am a kid, I asked them on last Saturday here at al wahda showroom, they told me that it’s arriving here at March 2016, my father asked them why so late they told him, there’s some problem over there so it will take time, better go for that trim, but I think the interior given here is basically hilux ones
