Aston Martin Vanquish Zagato Volante convertible revealed
Aston Martin has released a convertible version of the Vanquish Zagato Coupe that was revealed last May at the Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este in Italy. Named the Vanquish Zagato Volante, the car is the latest creation of a collaboration between Aston Martin and the Italian design house Zagato.
Limited to 99 units, the Zagato Volante has all thse aesthetic traits of the coupe save for the lack of the iconic double bubble roof. It is replaced by the bespoke folding roof of the Volante which is based on the roof mechanism used in the Vanquish Volante.
The interior has been spruced up with some Zagato details. A mixture of carbon fibre and beige leather is used for the seats, door cards and the dashboard. Options include anodised bronze detailing and the finest Bridge of Weir Leather.
Power is provided by a 5.9-litre V12 that churns out 592 hp which takes the Zagato Volante from 0 to 100 kph in under 4 seconds. It shares the same engine with the Coupe version and the power was upped from the regular 568 hp to 592 hp for the Zagato models.
The facility at Aston Martin’s headquarters in Gaydon, England will be producing the Zagato cars and customer deliveries are expected to begin by 2017.

I recently found out that “sold out” doesn’t really mean sold out. How else can you explain how I drove the 675LT months after it “sold out”.
