Hennessey Venom GT final edition has 1451 hp

The Hennessey Venom GT clocked 435.31 kph on February 14th, 2014 on the Shuttle Landing Runway at NASA’s Kennedy Space Center. This made the Venom GT the fastest production car, but with no official Guinness world record. Seven years after its introduction, Hennessey has decided to let the curtain fall on this Lotus Exige-based speed monster, but not without a bang.

The end of the Venom GT will be marked by a final edition that has a colossal 1451 hp on offer, same as that of the Venom GT’s latest Spyder version. The final edition will get a new shade of ‘glacier blue’ with white stripes on it.

The car is worth US$ 1.2 million. And if you are thinking about one, its too late. The only final edition GT built has already been sold.

The replacement for the GT will arrive soon. Bearing a Venom F5 moniker, the new car will be even faster than the GT. It will have a reworked version of the GT’s 7.0-litre V8 but with more power and faster acceleration. Expect the F5 to be revealed sometime later this year.
