Acura RDX 2010 crossover released in the States
Acura, Honda’s North American luxury division, has released details of the redesigned 2010 RDX compact SUV. Built in America, the futuristic crossover will only be sold in that region unfortunately.
The new model is a facelift, with Acura’s corporate front grille, a new front bumper, new 18-inch alloy wheels, and a redone rear bumper.
Available in front-wheel-drive or with Honda’s “Super-Handling” all-wheel-drive system, the road-going Acura RDX offers seating for five.
Powered by a 240 hp 2.3-litre turbo engine with 352 Nm of torque, the 4-cylinder motor is uncharacteristically powerful for a Honda creation. Mated to the engine is a 5-speed automatic with paddle-shifters.
The interior features automatic dual-zone, humidity control and air filtration, Bluetooth connectivity, a USB audio and iPod interface as well as a 6-CD in-dash changer.
U.S. prices start at the equivalent of Dhs 120,000. There are no plans to offer the Acura brand in the UAE and GCC.
