Porsche 911 Carrera S tuned by TechArt
The recently-updated 2009 Porsche 911 Carrera can be made be faster by slapping on a kit by TechArt of Germany. The components include a “Racing” exhaust valve and new engine electronics for an increase of “up to” 35 hp.
Available for the rear-wheel-drive 911 Carrera S and the all-wheel-drive 911 Carrera 4S, the kit includes new engine management software and an exhaust system with two manifolds and a stainless steel muffler with a flap control unit and an exhaust valve, with a switch to go between the stock sporty sound or a powerful racing sound.
The Aerokit I bodykit includes a roof spoiler and a rear wing in three different variants. The mirrors get “decorative” screens made of carbon fibre. Also available are sportier suspension and light-alloy wheels in 19-inch and 20-inch sizes.
Optional is the TECHART “Nose Lift System” to overcome curbs and ramps. By pressing a button, the front of the car can be increased by up to 60 mm, even while driving up to 60 kph.
The interior can be had in different leather interiors, matching 3-spoke airbag-fitted sports steering wheel, aluminium pedals and other trim are just a few extras.
The kit can be ordered from TechArt directly. For more info on the Carrera, visit the Porsche 911 buyer guide.

umm, pardon my ignorance but how is a “sports” steering wheel different from a regular one?

@BJD
To my knowledge a three spoke steering “mostly” is referred as a sports wheel ,but actually a sports steering is supposed to have one turn instead of the usual one and a half or two turn which we have in our normal saloon cars so it give more accurate feedback to the driver and less of pain in the … 🙂
