Alfa Romeo Giulia 2017 Overview
The Alfa Romeo Giulia is the Italian automakers resurrected compact sedan offering since the discontinuation of the 159 goof-up in 2011. It further happens to be the first car based on a longitudinal-engined rear-wheel-drive platform from Alfa in over two decades. Confining its front-wheel-drive predecessors to history, and based on an entirely new concept and platform, the Giulia is quite a looker, with a powerful engine and great features. There are three trims namely -- Giulia, Giulia Super, and Giulia Veloce. All models are offered with a turbocharged 2.0-litre four cylinder engine mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission, but with 200 hp and rear-wheel-drive layout in the basic and 'Super' trims, and with 280 hp and all-wheel-drive layout in the 'Veloce' trim. Standard features in the Giulia include a 6.5-inch touchscreen infotainment system, 3.5-inch TFT colour instrument cluster display, leather interior, keyless entry with push start button integrated into the steering wheel, 8-speaker audio system, power driver and front passenger seats, dual-zone auto a/c, auto-dimming rear-view mirror,17-inch alloy wheels, remote engine start, rear LED tail lamps, auto headlamps, auto rain sensing wipers, and cruise control. The Guilia Super adds 18-inch wheels, 8.8-inch widescreen touchscreen infotainment system, engine auto start-stop, 3 driving modes, HID headlamps with DRL, genuine wood inserts in door panel, instrument panel, and console, and ventilated heated driver and front passenger seats. The top-spec Guilia Veloce gets more horsepower and torque, and 5 driving modes. Standard safety tech include multiple airbags including knee airbags for driver and front passenger, ABS with EBD, stability and traction control system, parking sensors, forward collision warning system, autonomous emergency braking system with pedestrian detection, and lane departure warning. Optional safety tech includes blind spot monitoring system, and a rear view camera.
