Mini Cooper 2006 Overview

The Mini is a thrill ride that offers extremely excellent handling, enough to kill exotic cars at twisty tracks. It is also one of the smallest cars on the road and can be parked virtually anywhere. Yet it seats four, though with painfully tight back seats, and it can carry a amount of cargo. Its cute looks still generates smiles years after its introduction. Engineered by BMW, the Mini is a high-quality piece of equipment, boasting a multitude of passive and active safety systems. Convertibles were added to the lineup for 2005 and lasted till 2007. All models were enhanced then with new interior lighting, storage space and trim options, plus revised styling. Models include the Cooper and the supercharged Cooper S, but the base Mini One has been cancelled. The Cooper also comes in Seven, Checkmate and Park Lane trims. All use a 1.6-litre four-cylinder engine, but the S uses a supercharger. Gearbox choices include a manual, CVT and automatic. Standard features include power windows and mirrors, along with a number of airbags. Options for the Cooper S include a John Cooper Works package that bumps up horsepower, and a Sport package that offers DSC, bonnet stripes, 17-inch alloys and xenon headlamps.
