Ferrari F430 2005 Overview
The F430 is heavily influenced by F1 Racing technology, and makes it known to everyone openly. The F430's compact 4.3-litre V8 engine offers blistering high-revving performance, and the experience is enhanced by an optional F1-style paddle-shifting gearbox which has made its way to every other Ferrari model too. The F430's aerodynamics are honed to generate special flows to increase downforce and improve cooling. One technical feature is the electronic differential, transferring massive torque levels to the track under high cornering g-forces, and guarantees maximum grip out of bends, eliminating wheel spin. The larger interior can be personalized with carbon-fibre or aluminium inserts, with space behind the seats accessed using an electrically operated compartment. The standard electric seats can be substituted by more sporting items with four-point harnesses to order. Even with all this the interior is noticeably barebones in keeping with its sporting nature. For 2008, a more powerful, lighter and track-focussed F430 Scuderia was introduced, with a faster clutchless-manual gearbox and other chassis enhancements.
