The Toyota Prado got a minor facelift for 2014, with a redesigned front-end and other trim changes. The "VVT-i" engine offerings carry over, with a 2.7-litre 4-cylinder and a 4.0-litre V6. The Saudi market offers both manual and automatic variants on all except the top trim level, while the UAE market only gets automatic versions. The basic Prado 2.7L, known as TX in KSA and EXR in UAE, comes with 17-inch steel wheels, black front grille, black power mirrors and door handles, rear spoiler, mud guards, fabric seating for seven, keyless entry, front and rear manual a/c, CD/MP3 6-speaker stereo, ABS with EBD and brake-assist, dual front airbags and floor-mounted spare tyre. The TX additionally gets side-steps and rear parking sensors, while the EXR instead gets a cool box, steering audio controls, USB/AUX ports and Bluetooth. The mid-range Prado 2.7L, known as TXL in KSA and GXR in UAE, gets 17-inch alloy wheels, rear parking sensors, chrome front grille, body-coloured trim, side steps, leather steering wheel and shift lever, USB/AUX ports, Bluetooth, cool box and more. The TXL additionally gets front fog lamps, front bumper guard and stability control, while the EXR instead gets dual-zone auto a/c, cruise control and a dealer-installed auto-dimming mirror with rear camera. The UAE also gets a Prado 2.7L in VXR trim that adds powered front seats, side/curtain/knee airbags, stability control and dealer-installed features such as leather upholstery and navigation with rear camera while losing steering-wheel controls. The basic Prado 4.0L, known as EXR in UAE, comes with a 6-speaker stereo with
Bluetooth and USB/AUX ports, steering audio controls, rear parking sensors, manual a/c, fabric seats, dual airbags, stability control, ABS, smart key with engine start/stop button, cruise control and hill start/descent assist. All UAE-bound V6 Prado models have a door-mounted spare tyre. The mid-range Prado 4.0L, known as TXL in KSA and GXR in UAE, comes with roof rails, side steps, fog lamps, front bumper guard and uphill/downhill assist on all automatic models. The TXL additionally gets a tow hitch and side mouldings, while the GXR instead gets side/curtain/knee airbags, dual-zone a/c, extra chrome trim, power front seats, rear camera and dealer-installed navigation with no steering controls. A higher-spec Prado 4.0L trim, known as TXL2 in KSA and VXR in UAE, comes with sunroof, dual auto a/c, rear camera and aftermarket audio with navigation. The TXL2 version also gets auto-levelling LED headlights, sunshades and in-car WiFi, while the VXR gets remote start, leather and power front seats. The Prado 4.0L in top VXL trim gains 18-inch alloy wheels, LED-encrusted headlights, leather seats, ventilated front seats, power front seats with memory, front and rear parking sensors with rear camera, side/curtain/knee airbags, "optitron" gauges, 14-speaker JBL stereo with voice control and steering-wheel buttons, multi-touch screen with navigation, remote engine starter and additional exterior trim. The Saudi VXL additionally gets self-leveling KDSS suspension, power-folding third row, Multi-Terrain Select with four cameras, rear DVD screen, blind-spot monitor and a tyre pressure warning system.
