BMW 2-Series 2015 Overview
Replacing the awkward-looking 1-Series Coupe, the BMW 2-Series made its debut as a 2014 model year. Variants sold in the GCC include the 220i and the M235i. The 220i coupe comes with a 2.0-litre turbocharged 4-cylinder, mated to an 8-speed automatic. The M235i coupe comes with a 3.0-litre turbocharged 6-cylinder, again with an 8-speed auto or a 6-speed manual. The 2-Series will be offered in basic, Sport Line, Modern Line and the M Sport trim. The M235i only comes in M Sport trim. The cabin also features a few upholstery and trim choices unique to the Sport Line. The M Sport gets retuned suspension and sits 10 mm lower, riding on unique lightweight 18-inch alloy wheels. An aero kit and a unique grille are included, as are sport seats, unique dash trims and options such as variable sport steering, an M Sport braking system and adaptive M suspension. A Driving Experience Control feature is available, utilising a rocker switch near the shifter that allows drivers to change between a number of modes for the car's suspension, throttle, transmission, steering and engine settings. Safety standards are always high in BMWs, with front and side airbags all around, along with traction control and stability control.
