Mercedes-Benz SLR Roadster debuts

Mercedes-Benz has unveiled the latest version of their goofy halo supercar. The 2008 SLR McLaren is finally public now that the fixed-top model is passe.

The car uses the 617 hp V12 from the standard coupe, and the only visible change is the cloth top. Lesser SLK and SL owners can rejoice in the fact that all the money in the world cannot buy a folding hard top for this hotel hopper.
