Ford Fiesta gets Sport trim in Europe
Ford is now offering a new Sport trim level in Europe that will be available on the three-door models equipped with the 96 hp 1.4-litre and 120 hp 1.6-litre petrol engines as well as with the 90 hp 1.6-litre TDCi turbo diesel.
The Sport package includes a 9 mm lowered sports suspension with stiffer springs and new shocks, a modified steering wheel system and the addition of an ESP “off” switch.
Visually, the three-door Fiesta Sport gets a different lower grille treatment, dark headlamps, front apron, thicker side skirts, a rear apron with an integrated diffuser and new 16-inch alloys wrapped in beefier sport tyres.
Inside, buyers can opt between two different trim colours with special features including the front sport seats, leather sport steering wheel and gearshift knob and the enhanced equipment that includes a height-adjustable driver’s seat, an on-board computer, electric windows and locks, and air conditioning.
It is unlikely that this package will be offered in the GCC-spec model, considering only the five-door Fiesta is sold in the UAE, even in markets as upscale as Dubai and Abu Dhabi markets, with 1.25-litre and 1.4-litre motors that are barely more powerful than a blender.

😕 Whats the problem 120hp on such a small body with a manual gear box is a very fast combination. I expect 0-100s around 8s.

I’ve seen quite a few of the 5 door versions on the road…nice looking car…but wish it was not a 1.4L…
