Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X FQ-330 UK upgrade

mitsubishi-lancer-evo-x
The Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X was first introduced in 2008, but while the whole world, including the GCC, has received only a single version, Mitsubishi Motors in the UK regularly adds special models to their line-up. The UK now has a new Evo X FQ-330 SST model to look forward to.

The FQ-330 SST model utilises a breathing kit and ECU re-map to increase power output, and tested over the past 6 months to make sure it doesn’t blow up like regular tuner cars do. Power is therefore upgraded to 329 hp, achieved by the addition of a high performance exhaust and downpipe, an intercooler piping kit, racing suction pipe, and upgraded CAT, which delivers an additional 36 hp and 30 Nm of torque, mated to an automanual 6-speed Twin-Clutch Sports Shift Transmission with paddle shifters. Externally, on the other hand, the FQ-330 looks more or less like the standard Evo.

The Lancer Evolution FQ-330 SST is only sold in the UK, and priced at an equivalent Dhs 210,000, which is Dhs 17,500 more than the British price of the standard Evo X. Cars generally cost more in the UK than in the UAE.

Update: The FQ-330 is now available in the UAE.
