GMC Acadia Denali revealed as 2011 model
General Motors has unveiled the 2011 GMC Acadia Denali in the United States, in time for the Detroit Auto Show. It is a natural extension of the Denali line, and finally offers up the Chevy Traverse’s upgraded engine in the Acadia.
The engine is a 3.6-litre V6, good for 292 hp at 6300 rpm and maximum torque of 366 Nm at 3400 rpm, mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission and either front-wheel-drive or all-wheel-drive.
Exterior styling features include coloured lower-body trim, chrome honeycomb grille, fender flares, dual chrome exhaust tips, 20-inch chrome wheels with 255/55 tyres, and a choice of 7-seater or 8-seater configurations.
Cabin features include tri-zone automatic climate control, Bluetooth connectivity, perforated leather seats with matching leather door panel trim, leather-wrapped steering wheel with wood inserts, chrome lighted sill plates with the Denali logo and a rear view camera system.
Expect the Acadia Denali to be offered in the UAE, Saudi Arabia and other GCC countries by late 2010. Keep track of updates in the GMC Acadia buyer guide.
