Rolls Royce Phantom Drophead Coupe Centenary edition in UAE

Boasting a phenomenal increase of sales by 178% in the first quarter of 2011, the strongest in the Middle East for the period, AGMC has announced the arrival of two “distinctive” Phantom models going by a fancy name as long as “Spirit of Ecstasy Centenary Collection”.

The Spirit of Ecstasy, also known as “The Flying Lady”, is the name of the hood ornament exclusive to Rolls Royce which has been a part of all Rolls Royce cars rolling since 1911. As the figurine marks its 100th year of existence, Rolls Royce have decided to produce 100 special ‘Spirit of Ecstasy Centenary Collection’ Phantom models -– two of these limited edition cars will make it to Dubai and the first one is set to arrive sometime this month. At least one or more are already in Abu Dhabi.

The special edition Phantom shall feature unique paint colours, commemorative plaques and special instruments. A souvenir statuette of the figurine shall also be given away to every owner of this limited edition RR. Furthermore, these cars also feature Spirit of Ecstasy figurines cast in Britannia Silver which are built upon a black-gold plated bezel bearing the inscription ”Spirit of Ecstasy Centenary – 2011”. The figurines shall have a fancy white light draping it and adding to its beauty. The design is finished with a set of six hallmarks, two of which have been designed specifically for Rolls-Royce Motor Cars.

Price for the joy of the figurine turning 100 starts at about Dhs 2.15 million for the Phantom Drophead Coupe model.
