Volkswagen Polo R-Line 2012 packages for Europe

With the possibility of a Polo R to spice up the already-crowded Volkswagen GTI line-up looking bleak, VW has gone ahead and released two R-Line aesthetic packages for its smallest hatchback.

The first R-Line trim package deals solely with the exterior, therefore adequately called the R-Line “Exterior” package. Priced at Dhs 7,282 for the Comfortline model and Dhs 5,072 for the Highline model in Europe; it comes with wider 16-inch or 17-inch “Mallory” wheels, glossy black grille with an R-Line logo, sporty front and rear bumper, a roof spoiler and distinctive rear diffuser, chrome exhaust tailpipes, side skirts, fog lamps and an LED license plate illuminator.

The second R-Line package called “Plus” takes care of the interior aesthetics with Kyalami sports seats with optional Alcantara or leather covers, “San Remo” microfibre side panels, black roof lining, leather steering wheel with aluminium trim and R-Line chrome lettering, aluminium pedal caps and R-logo sill plates. It costs AED4,294 for the Comfortline model and AED2,260 for the Highline model.

Both kits are currently limited to the German market but we wouldn’t be surprised to see it trickle down to the rest of the world by next year. For future updates, check out the Volkswagen Polo buyer guide.

  1. Does anyone know if the POLO has any chance of revival here in the Middle East. The smallest car they have in the line-up here seems to be the Golf.

  2. Classic…And Simple exterior.

    Nice look

  3. @ Faisal.. Have you missed out on the ” 0’s ” or are the figures in € ??

  4. The VW polo is releasing again, with the launch at Dubai Motor Show. By the rumors and teasers, it looks like we will be getting the sedan version of the POLO, but the hatchback may also come. I am crossing my fingers and hoping that Polo GTI also makes it here 🙂
