Roush Stage 3 Mustang 2012 offered by UAE Ford dealer
The 2012 Roush Stage 3 Mustang is now officially available at Ford showrooms in the UAE. If anyone remembers, the Roush Mustang was offered with the cheesy “The Shamal” branding last year, but this year, it will simply go as the “Roush Stage 3” Mustang, with more power for 2012.
Essentially a tuned Ford Mustang GT modified by Roush with custom parts, the 5.0-litre V8 is fitted with an intercooled R2300 ROUSH supercharger at 10 psi. The ROUSHcharger increases the base horsepower from 412 hp to a Shelby-chasing 540 hp, with 630 Nm of torque.
Other Roush add-ons include a hollow-chamber exhaust system, high-performance Cooper tyres, front struts, rear shocks, front and rear springs, front and rear stabiliser bars, jounce bumpers, anti-wheelhop kit, 4-piston brakes and also 20-inch wheels in black or chrome.
A new feature of the 2012 Roush Stage 3 is the personal colour customisations for the paintjob, brake calipers and stickers. The Roush graphics used on the 2012 RS3 introduce metallic flaking in the striping.
The RS3 comes fully-loaded with body styling upgrades, including the ROUSH front fascia with driving lights, chin spoiler, side rocker splitters, rear valence, rear deck-lid spoiler, and newly-designed square exhaust tips. Interior enhancements include ROUSH leather seats with an embroidered Stage 3 logo, four-piece performance pedals, ROUSH illuminated sill plates, newly-designed shifter ball in either black or white, and a new interior “Stage 3” badge with the car’s serial number engraved.
Al Tayer Motors will also offer existing Ford Mustang owners the option to buy a wide range of original ROUSH performance products to further enhance the horsepower, handling and appearance by customising their cars.
Priced at Dhs 260,000 on paper, it is actually going for Dhs 248,000 at the moment. The engine add-ons come with a 3-year/58,000 km dealer warranty, while we assume the rest of the car comes with the usual Ford warranty. The dealer is also offering Roush parts for regular Mustangs as well. The car is on display in some Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Sharjah showrooms.

260k for a car that doesn’t even have xenon headlights!

You drive a car by engine power, not xenon lights, i would rather settle for a normal light setup with cruel engine and nasty exhaust sound, that would fly the skirts up.
tony
Actually you drive a “car” for its gadgets, and Xenon headlights is one of them.
You drive a “sports car” for its handling, which this pos American car doesn’t do.
You want a car to do block to block sprints (which is stupid anyways!), then this car is for you!

Yep this car is for me. Muscle cars wouldn’t have existed, if people looked for creature comforts and spicy dashboard. Better buy a Tiida, Focus , Corolla , Sonata, Altima and maybe new Camry with fake leather stitched dash. The concept of Mustang, Challenger & Camaro is different from utility and appliance cars for daily use.
Tony
I never said I only care about creature comforts. But instead of buying a muscle car (for 260k), I would rather buy an Infiniti G37S coupe that not only has power, but can handle better and has creature comforts. Not to mention the build quality is a kabillion times better than a POS American car.
Hell I rented a Mustang convertible in California once, and while driving on a bump, the rear view mirror just fell off! This car had less than 2000 miles on it!
chris
for most people they care more about big body kits, riced paint jobs and big wheels and various stickers and stitching on the seats and things like xenon lights.
those people will overlook the fact that the car is supercharged lol

As much as i hate FORD generally, and no matter how many Mustangs (or alike) you see on the street, it remains a work of art and a splendid sight / sound. (sigh for my orange GT 2008)

First off everybody has to realize that the Mustang Platform is over 30 years old and has just been slightly improved upon over the years. It was never built to be a purpose built Sports Car but has truly evolved over the years. Not saying it is the almighty but it really does hold its own when compared to high dollar “Sport Cars”. Tony you seem to have overlooked the Suspension/Brakes mods aside from the Performance Mods. Take a look a how the Roush stacks up against your “Sports Cars” here…

I bet a Nissan 370z would be first to get to the top of Jebel Hafeet, and it costs 100k less and has better build quality….not to mention Xenon headlights 😀

Tony thinks.. If his car has Xenon.. His ride would be riced up.. and would claim to his friends I drive a Soooupped up ride ! Muahahhahah !
Tony
Nah, if I wanted to do that I would put a “turbo v12 AMG Mpower” sign on the trunk lid.
Despite what you all think, Xenon headlights make a big difference when you drive at night. Not because they look (which they do), but because you can see better!
Hell, the new Civics even have them!

Nice looking beast !! But I dont think spending a 100 grand more is justified for an additional 30 or so hp. The GT is the best deal you can get. Personally i would always opt for german cars for that money, but still the mustang is an icon. Cheers !!
Raina
100 or so hp, forgive the typo plz.
chris
waiting for the new 2013 mustang GT.

Maybe performance is important, i agree with that, but have seen mustangs coming at night in your mirror, they really missing something, so i agree with upgrading the headlights to have some lenses and even maybe some aggressive led line, why not, after all it is all about competition for car companies and the camaro with its halo headlights looks much nicer, though I like the mustang more overhaul
ROJ
Insane price tag, even though its an awesome machine, I would love to test drive it.

To all who adore gadgets more than power; all roads lead to “KIA”
Tony
The Kia Veloster with the turbo engine would be more FUN (not faster) to drive than this Mustang!
Tariq Damati
To all those bashing the car and its price tag..you haven’t personally seen it or even heard the exhaust note on this beast.

There is a kit out there for less than $250 US to convert to BiXenon.
The Mustang is American Muscle. It’s main competition is the Camaro and the Challenger. The Z is great but for different reasons. I have one and I use it for handling. But it can never have the raw 540Hp and massive torque of a Roush Stage 3 Mustang without $15k+ in twin turbo and engine build mods.
