So we got a 2013 Hyundai Genesis Coupe

We never drove the first generation of the Hyundai Genesis Coupe, a car that seems to be overshadowed by the Toyota 86 nowadays. But we did drive the 2013 version, which is essentially the same car, with a new front-end, new tail lamps and a new interior. And even though it still has the same engine as before, it is one hell of a car.

The new face is a bit “out there” but it looks uniquely outrageous. With LEDs and that svelte shape, the Genesis Coupe looks much more expensive than it really is.

We even like the funny side-rear window, simply because it adds character. Is this really a Hyundai?

It’s also the first car we’ve seen with “acceleration” and “torque” gauges. Totally useless, but obviously appealing to boy racers.

The boot is surprisingly large for a sports coupe, limited only by that small opening.

The Hyundai Genesis Coupe was a revelation. We still can’t believe they are offering a Maserati-like grand tourer for the price of a fully-loaded Honda Accord. It’s been a while since we’ve enjoyed an automatic car this much, with its swinging tail and flamboyant demeanour. More in the full review.

  7. Dear MASH,

Desperately waiting for the full review. If possible than please give a comparison between these 120K-130K cars as

    Ford Mustang V6
    Camaro V6
    Challenger V6
    Hyundai Genesis Coupe V6

Since Toyota 86 is also in this price range please consider it also if you can.

Will be grateful to you all if you can bring all these car together at one place here in U.A.E.

    Thanks Dear.
