Renault Fluence 2013 gets a frontal facelift
The Renault Fluence has failed to make an impact in the UAE market as much as some of its other siblings, not least of which due to its docile styling. The company has somewhat rectified that with a new corporate front-end for the 2013 model.
Aside from LED running lights, new digital instruments and fresh upholstery choices, there is a new 1.6-litre engine option, good for 3 extra horses at 115 hp, mated to a CVT automatic for a claimed improvement in fuel consumption to 6.4 litres/100 km. Other available features include a hands-free key card with remote central locking, front and rear parking sensors, automatic parking brake and Bluetooth streaming audio, although we doubt that big LCD on the dash will make it to all GCC markets.
The Turkish-built Fluence will go on sale in some markets by January 2013, but the Fluence for our markets come from Korea and may be styled differently from the Turkish model, but expect it to reach Saudi Arabia, UAE, Oman and other countries by summer, however it looks.
Keep track of prices and updates in the Renault Fluence buyer guide.
