Rolls-Royce Ghost coupe to be named Wraith
Rolls-Royce has just confirmed the launch of its next model, essentially a coupe version of the Ghost, dubbed the Rolls-Royce Wraith.
The long-rumoured coupe will be presented for the first time at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show on the 5th of March, with first deliveries to customers expected near the end of this year.
Rolls-Royce is pushing the new Wraith as their sportiest and fastest production model ever, likely using a higher-tuned version of the Ghost’s 6.6-litre twin-turbo V12. The launch will revive an old Rolls-Royce model name first used in 1938. As with their other models, the Phantom and the Ghost, the latest name also hints at horror-movie beings.
The prototype has been spotted numerous times already at the Nurburgring racetrack in Germany, but full details will only be released in March.
