Toyota Tundra 2014 debuts at 2013 Chicago Auto Show
It may seem odd that we’re giving the new 2014 Toyota Tundra any attention, considering it’s not even officially offered in the Middle East. But the Tundra has a sizeable fan following in certain parts of the GCC, including the UAE, where there is a thriving grey-import market for these trucks for no apparent reason.
In the U.S. however, the Tundra has been struggling in sales compared to the Ford F-150 and its American brethren, apparently because it was never as capable as the home-grown competition. Toyota USA set out to change that, although they did not go all the way, as the 2014 Tundra, which just debuted at the 2013 Chicago Auto Show, still rides on the same platform and uses the same engines. The changes are limited to new a exterior and a redesigned interior, now with standard Bluetooth and rear camera.
The carryover engines include a 270 hp 4.0-litre V6, a 310 hp 4.6-litre V8 and a 381 hp 5.7-litre, mirroring the motors found in the latest Toyota Land Cruiser.
There is no mention by Toyota Middle East about bringing this American-built truck to the UAE, but you can currently buy “Tundra” t-shirts and other merchandise at the Dubai showroom right now!

why dont toyota just sell it here if so many of them are being imported
Abdirahman
I thought if i buy an import car that is not offered in this region , i will be sued by dealers or by the government because it is not GCC spec?
If it is legal can i buy Hyundai Genesis 2013 TOP Track with manaul and 3.8 GDI engine and bring it to Qatar?

It’s legal in the UAE, although there will be more restrictions on non-dealer individuals importing cars here soon. Don’t know about Qatar.

Toyota has some stupid marketing strategies here, they dont bring this and also dont bring other nice cars like the Venza for example, if you look to toyota’s line up here, you find that all they offer are real off roaders without any crossover to compete with the likes of Murano, Ford Edge and so on, the Rav 4 is very small and the other SUVs are capable off roaders but not comfortable with their chassis and high center of gravity

Actually, i would have to disagree. Toyota’s GCC strategy is exactly what is keeping them at No. 1 position here. They offer what the region requires – true off-roaders, with the likes of FJs, Prado and Land Cruiser. In fact, those 3 models sell more than the entire Crossover segment btw, not even kidding.
