Long-term update: Honda S2000 gets A&F home-delivered battery

Honda S2000
There’s nothing much to report on the Honda. It is a Honda after all. The only niggling thing was that, a few months ago, it was taking a few seconds too many to start, which was the sign of a weak battery. This was confirmed by the dealer workshop during its last service. But we chose to get our battery replaced via A&F Auto Parts’ battery delivery service.

We called them A&F and got a quote for the battery, after telling them the name and model of our existing “AC Delco” battery over the phone. They sent someone within the hour and replaced the battery right in our parking lot. Incidentally, as we mentioned before when we replaced the battery on our Mitsubishi Galant GTS, there is a discount for DriveArabia.com readers in Dubai.

A&F supply only quality brands such as AC Delco, Kinetic, Bosch and Varta, offering a one-year warranty as well. When you call, just mention you heard about A&F on this site, and you’ll get a discounted price. Prices will vary based on the make and model of your car.

  1. If you don’t mind “us” asking, how much discount are we talking about. Rough estimate, maybe?

As the story says, it will vary a lot by the type of battery that your car uses. If I give a specific number here, even if estimated, we’ll get complaints here that each person got a different price.

It might even be higher than going to a Satwa shop yourself, because this delivery service is more for emergencies when your car is dead or if you’re busy.

  2. You seem to be getting excellent mileage.

  3. Do they deliver the battery if you’re in abu dhabi ?
