2015 Hyundai Veloster Turbo

Hyundai has updated their 3/4-door Veloster Turbo hatchback with a new gearbox and cabin tech for the Korean market.

The 2015 Veloster now gets a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox to replace the existing 6-speed in the Turbo version. The engine remains the same, with a 1.6-litre turbo 4-cylinder sending 201 hp to the front wheels.

The car also receives some unnoticeable tweaks to the grille, wheels, two-tone seats and gauge cluster. Hyundai has also included a new engine sound equaliser that lets you select from six different engine sounds, clearly an idea lifted from the Renault Clio RS.

There’s no official word on whether the Hyundai Veloster Turbo is coming to the GCC in this form, even after multiple announcements since late 2013 that it is coming soon. For now, the only version available is the naturally-aspirated 1.6-litre version.

Keep track of prices and updates in the Hyundai buyer guide.
