2015 Audi Q7 (1)

The 2015 Audi Q7 made its debut at this year’s North American International Auto Show.

The Q7’s styling clearly follows the new Audi design pattern with the redesigned upright single frame grille highlighted by xenon, LED or Matrix LED headlights. The SUV takes on a hefty look, despite the shaved dimensions and sharp angles. Overall, the full-size SUV loses a heap of weight; 325 kgs to be exact, but it surely portrays a classic Audi Quattro look. Something that we still respect.

The new Q7 also gets a host of new engines, the first being a 2.0-litre TFSI producing 252 hp and 370 Nm of torque. However, our interest lies in the 3.0-litre TFSI V6 that pumps out an impressive 333 hp and 440 Nm of torque. Audi will also sell the Q7 with two 3.0-litre diesel options. The lower variant of the engine produces 218 hp and 500 Nm of torque, while the latter and powerful variant pushes out a more impressive 272 hp and 600 Nm of torque. Reports also suggest that there will be a 3.0-litre TDI Q7 e-tron plug-in, that will buzz out 373 hp and 700 Nm of torque.

The interior of the Q7 is quite plush, which can be set to be had with optional wood or aluminium trim on the dash, while the seats and other trim can be cladded in fabric, Alcantara, cricket leather or even Valcona leather. As for entertainment, Audi upgrades the MMI infotainment system with a 12.3-inch TFT display that features an “Audi Virtual Cockpit”. Customers can also opt for a Bose or a Bang & Olufsen sound system to cater to their specific needs.

The 2015 Audi Q7 should make it to UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar and the rest of the GCC sometime in the summer.

Keep track of the latest prices and updates in the Audi Q7 buyer guide.

  1. Looks more like a station wagon now then a SUV…

    • This is the trend, no German SUV can really go for off road, except the Benz G class.
The one who buy this car will never go for off road, why the manufacturer need to let it look more like a SUV but without the capability.

  2. fully agree with faisal, looks like their a6 avant now.

hopefully it looks better in real life..

  3. The Audi A8 is one of the best cars in the world…yet no one gives it a second glance or any respect because of it’s design…it’s way too ordinary…..and I think they’ve ended up doing the same with Q7 (make it far less imposing)

  4. The former had better ground clearance it seems. This one not at all. All SUV’s these days are shaped more or less like a van /stationwagon.

  5. Quite cool, especially the interiors
