2015 Hyundai Sonata Turbo Sport on sale in UAE, KSA & GCC
Hyundai have just announced the arrival of the 2015 Sonata Turbo Sport in their lineup.
The Sonata Turbo Sport gets a turbocharged 2.0-litre 4-cylinder direct injection engine, producing about 242 hp and 350 Nm of torque. This helps it go from 0-100 kph in 7.5 seconds and hit a top speed of 235 kph. Power is delivered via a 6-speed automatic transmission and also gets sports suspension to improve handling.
The exterior design features include 18-inch alloy wheels and dual twin-tip exhaust mufflers. The front-grille is slightly different and it also gets LED daytime running lights.
The interior gets a new 3-spoke steering wheel, gear knob, instrument cluster and interior trim, along with Turbo stitching.
The 2015 Hyundai Sonata should be available in showrooms across UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar and other GCC countries very soon.
Keep track of the latest prices and updates in the Hyundai Sonata buyer guide.

Priced at 100K+ could be a challenge for this model, especially with cars like Chevorlet Impala being offered from 98K

There is a misconception from Hyundai here, euro cars like bmw keep turbos on mainstream models for fuel efficiency purposes; V6 along with the sporty suspension would’ve been a better offering in my opinion instead of a turbo Hyundai

There’s is no misconception, Huyndai also did what others do. When they don’t release turbo, you cry, “turbo is only available in US, UAE dealers don’t bring any existing models from line up”, when they bring then you type another excuse, just because you want to comment something in forum, atleast sometimes write something good for auto manufacturers.

@kevin
your reply to my own opinion is full of false assumptions; the day you see me writing “oh turbo only available in US” come and talk 🙂

I don’t see a reason why some people hate korean cars other than its a “korean car” jap is better…
The speed at which Hyundai-Kia developed to what they are now is astounding. The same thing with the Sony vs. Samsung story.

not a bad proposition IMHO

@Kevin
I was so mad that UAE dealers did not get the turbo model from the beginning, I ended up buying the GLS model for 106000 AED, they told me there won’t be a turbo model for the middle east!! I regret buying the car so quickly..
