2016 Audi TT 1.8 TFSI is new entry level model
Audi has released a new entry level model for the 2016 TT. Under the hood, the standard TT will now get a new turbocharged 1.8-litre 4-cylinder engine. The higher models get a 2.0-litre turbocharged motor.
The TT 1.8 TFSI produces about 180 hp and 250 Nm of torque. This helps the TT Coupe accelerate from 0-100 kph in 6.9 seconds with the 6-speed manual tranmission, and about 7.0 seconds with the optional 6-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox. The Roadster goes from 0-100 kph in 7.2 seconds with a manual transmission and about 7.3 seconds with the automatic.
Top speed for the coupe is about 241 kph, whereas the roadster reaches up to 237 kph. Fuel economy for the coupe is 5.7-6.0 litres/100 km and about 5.8-6.1 litres/100 km for the roadster.
The 2016 Audi TT 1.8 TFSI should arrive in the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar and other GCC countries before the end of the year.
