2016 Mercedes-Benz GLC spotted, set to replace GLK
Coinciding with Mercedes-Benz’s new naming system, the ugly GLK-Class compact crossover is all set to be replaced by the all-new GLC-Class. And it was spotted testing right here in Dubai.
It’s no secret that the UAE is a base for Mercedes-Benz’s hot weather testing, as we’ve caught their prototype cars numerous times before. In fact, we even spotted this particular camouflaged car today, alongside some new variant of the M-Class replacement, the GLE-Class, with its own camo. But we were not as quick as reader Manish Chodhri to take a photo. You can even see the GLE on the right corner of the above photo.
The all-new GLC-Class is expected share styling cues with the aforementioned GLE that made its debut a couple of months ago. In fact, Mercedes-Benz has just released a sketch of the GLC in anticipation of the launch, although as you can see, the actual shape looks nothing like the sketch.
The GLC is set to debut this month, likely sharing a range of engines with the C-Class that it is based on.
Keep track of updates in the Mercedes-Benz buyer guide.
