2016 Mercedes-AMG C 63 S gets tuning package from BRABUS
German tuning company Brabus has introduced a new package for the 2016 Mercedes-AMG C 63 S which bumps ups its total output by almost 90 hp. Brabus will showcase the package at the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show.
The package, called PowerXtra B40, adapts a plug-and-play auxiliary control module to the electronic engine management system. It updates the engine controls with new mapping
for injection and ignition while increasing the boost pressure. This makes the twin-turbocharged 4.0-litre V8 engine power output jump from the standard 503 hp to 591 hp. Torque figures also go up, making it from from 700 Nm to 800 Nm. This is enough to make it go from 0-100 kph in 3.8 seconds. Top speed also goes up to 300 kph.
The Brabus all-stainless exhaust in C 63 S reduces backpressure and features controlled butterfly valves for an electronically controlled sound management. A switch in the cockpit lets drivers choose between a normal mode and the open position of the butterfly valves for a more powerful exhaust note from the V8 engine.
For the exterior, Brabus has added bodywork components manufactured from clear-coated carbon with a matte or shiny surface seal. Exterior upgrades include a front lip spoiler, air intakes on the side fenders, a rear spoiler and a rear diffuser kit. Clear-coated carbon covers can be added to the side-mirrors as well. The 20-inch Brabus Monoblock T alloy wheels have been added, which can be wrapped around in Continental, Pirelli or Yokohama high-performance tyres of sizes 255/30 ZR 20 at the front and up to 275/30 ZR 20 on the rear axle.
Interior upgrades include stainless-steel scuff plates with color-changing backlit Brabus logo, aluminium paddle-shifters, or a speedometer with a 340 kph scale. Brabus offers tailor-made leather and Alcantara interior packages, as well as leather and carbon trim sets.
Expect to see a few Brabus Mercedes-AMG C 63 S in the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar and other GCC countries.

Is Brqbus like Alpina for BMW, making upgrades that are also “luxury an comfort” oriented, or is it just pure “sport an we don’t care about the comfort an harsh”?
