Mercedes-Benz G 63 AMG gets Brabus 838 hp upgrade
Brabus has revealed their latest iteration of the Mercedes-Benz G 63 AMG, called the 850 6.0 Biturbo Widestar. It is set to debut at the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show.
Getting down to the engine, the standard twin-turbocharged 5.5-litre V8 engine has been bored to now displace 5.9-litres. Along with that, there are new pistons, a billet crankshaft, billet connecting rods and modified exhaust manifolds. The turbochargers has been upgraded as well, with also an optimized air intake, a stainless steel sports exhaust system and different ECU.
All these mods help boost the power up to 850 PS, which translates to about 838 hp, while torque bumps up to 1,450 Nm. This helps it to reach from 0-100 kph in 4 seconds and hit an electronically limited top speed of 260 kph.
The exterior gets a wide bodykit which includes a front spoiler, bigger fender flares and a hood scoop. You also get tinted headlights and the SUV rides on 23-inch forged alloy wheels which can wrapped in either Continental, Pirelli or Yokohama tyres.
Inside, the cabin includes Mastik leather seats, an Alcantara headliner, velour floor mats, aluminium pedals and illuminated stainless steel sill plates. A 15.6-inch LCD screen is mounted on the headliner, while the rear passengers enjoy a multimedia console that has a power retractable tray tables, an iPhone charging dock, USB ports and an integrated refrigerator.
Expect to see a few of the Brabus 850 6.0 Biturbo Widestar in the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar and other GCC countries.
