Qatar petrol prices increase by 30%
Qatar has decided to increase fuel prices by 30% starting next month, as reported by the official Qatar News Agency. The move is a bid to reduce government spending on fuel subsidies.
Super 97-octane petrol will now cost QAR 1.30 per litre, up from QAR 1.00, and regular 90-octane petrol will now cost QAR 1.15.
The price increase comes after Saudi Arabia also increased their fuel prices by 50% last month, while Oman and Bahrain increased fuel prices this week. UAE had increased prices in August, but prices have significantly dropped since then due to the drop in oil prices.
