Bugatti has officially revealed the Chiron, set to debut at the 2016 Geneva Motor Show this week.

The highly anticipated Bugatti Veyron replacement is based on the Vision Gran Turismo Concept from last year. The Chiron is a whole new design which gets full carbon-fibre construction underneath the new skin.

The new car is 82 mm longer, 40 mm wider and 53 mm higher than the Veyron, and is also 155 kg heavier, taking its total curb weight to 1,995 kg.

Under the hood, the updated W16 8.0-litre engine with four turbochargers is said to now develop 1479 hp and 1600 Nm of torque. The all-wheel-drive Chiron gets a revamped 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. Top speed is said to be a whopping 420 kph!

150 orders have already been placed for the Bugatti Chiron, which will be limited to just 500 units. The price of the car is said to be around US$ 2.61 million, with production taking place at the Molsheim factory in France and deliveries expected to begin in October.

Expect to see the Bugatti Chiron on the streets of the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar and other GCC countries by next year.

  1. Bigger and heavier… so it basically won’t like corners just like the Veyron.
