Cadillac has revealed a new concept in California that hints at their future flagship sedan. Named the Escala, the new concept might spawn a new model that will sit above the CT6 sedan in their lineup.

The Escala is a long car. It is half a foot longer than the CT6. The front flaunts a typical square-ish Cadillac fashion with a large trapezoidal grille, fringed by vertical running lights on either side. The new narrow OLED headlamps are placed deep inside recesses cut into the front bumper. The rear features a liftback design which also follows the straight-edged profile. The vertical taillights are connected using a horizontal strip at the top. The 22-inch wheels add a certain symmetry to the bold design package.

The interior is made to be a balance between driving experience and back seat chauffeuring. It features a minimalist design which uses three curved OLED screens which act as an infotainment system and an instrument cluster. Centre-console gracefully features few knobs and switches that provide control to the systems in the car. The rear passengers also receive two screens that slide out from the seatbacks.

A 4.2-litre V8 is employed to power the Escala. While Cadillac kept quiet about the power and other details, they gave away that this engine is the new system in development for future Cadillac models.
