Lotus Evora GT430 Sport faster model debuts
A couple of months ago, Lotus took the covers off the most powerful model that they ever made, the Evora GT430. And now, they have even bettered it with a faster version called the Evora GT430 Sport. The GT430 Sport does not get some racy exterior bits like the rear wing and front diffuser from the standard GT430. But it retains the performance mods which includes the AP Racing brakes, the two-way adjustable Ohlins dampers, and the Torsen limited-slip differential.
Power comes from the same 3.5-liter supercharged V6 which produces 430 hp and 440 Nm of torque. It can be paired with either a manual or a six-speed automatic gearbox which is a contrast to the normal model as it offers only the manual. The absence of the large aero bits has helped the car shed 10 kilos, which gets reflected in the performance. The 0-96 kph sprint is dealt in just 3.6 seconds, which is 0.1 seconds faster than the standard model. Even without the aerodynamic appendages, the GT430 Sport generates 100 kilos of downforce at 305 kph. The top speed of the GT430 Sport is 315 kph, making it the fastest Lotus ever.
The lightweight theme is adopted by the cabin as well. It gets a new set of Sparco racing seats wrapped in leather and Alcantara. The same wrap spans over other parts like the steering wheel, door panels, transmission tunnel, dashboard and centre console. An optional integrated touchscreen infotainment system offers iPhone connectivity, Bluetooth, satellite navigation and a reverse camera.
