2019 Lamborghini Huracan Performante Spyder debuts
Lamborghini had dropped the top of the Huracan Performante that they revealed a year ago. This here is the exhaustively-named Lamborghini Huracan Performante Spyder, unveiled at the 2018 Geneva Motor Show.
Looks-wise, the Spyder looks as good as the Performante Coupe, if not better. The top is a fabric roof which can be lowered in 17 seconds at speeds up to 50 kph. When the roof is lowered, an integrated duct with fins and two removable wind guards reduce the buffeting and turbulence.
Losing the roof does not reduce the effectiveness of the Aerodynamica Lamborghini Attiva (ALA) system. The trick active-aero system works perfectly in the Spyder to improve the aerodynamic manners of the Spyder’s body.
The Lamborghini Huracan Performante Spyder is powered by the same 5.2-litre V10 engine from the coupe. The power output remains the same at 640 hp so does the 600 Nm torque figure. The Performante Spyder has shed 77 kg off the weight of the normal Spyder. This helps the Performante power from 0 to 100 kph in 3.1 seconds.
Expect the model to show up in UAE and GCC showrooms by the end of summer.
