2019 Toyota Corolla XLi Exclusive trim added to UAE line-up
Even while a new Toyota Corolla has been announced in some other markets, the model is continuing unchanged for 2019 in the UAE and GCC. It is now available in an exclusive variant in the UAE.
The 2019 Corolla XLi Exclusive has features such as front fog lamps, sunroof, rear trunk spoiler, leather-trimmed steering wheel audio and telephone controls, leather-trimmed gear lever and a wireless charger.
The standard engine is a 121 hp 1.6-litre in-line 4-cylinder engine mated to a “Multidrive 7S” CVT automatic that claims a rated fuel economy of 5.5 litres/100 km (18.1 km/l).
Safety features include ESP, a tyre pressure warning system, rear fog lamps, ISO-FIX child-seat anchors and two airbags.
The Corolla Xli Exclusive is available in eight exterior paint choices, with body coloured door handles and mirrors.
The 2019 XLi is now available at Toyota showrooms across the UAE, for Dhs 75,500, which is above the average price of its main rivals.

1.6 XLI trim has come a long way. My dad’s 99 1.6 XLI had just one airbag, no ABS and 2 speaker audio. However, it still had 120 hp 4A-FE engine back then, unrestricted by emissions, so that’s a match

I don’t think there’s any point in adding a new trim to this car as already there are enough trim levels at different justifiable prices. Also, It would lead to a lot of fluctuation in other versions of the car with the top end model becoming dearer, most likely. There’s a new generation Corolla round the corner and soon might hit the roads of UAE so not many buyers or only the budget friendly ones aspiring for only resale value and reliability would consider this.
