Tesla CEO Elon Musk has been known for his Twitter games and here’s a new one. This time, Ram pickups are on the opposite side and Musk may have hinted at the upcoming Tesla pickup’s towing capacity.
Musk took on the recent Twitter battle against a Ram owner who mentioned the towing capacity of his truck as 12000 pounds (5443 kg) to which Musk replied “12,000 lbs!? How puny. Do you construct children’s toys?”

Tesla has a pickup truck in the works and it is expected to hit the markets soon, assuming Tesla’s financial issues don’t get any bigger this year. Being a completely electric vehicle, the torque will definitely be high and hence, the towing capacity as well. From this tweet, it is evident that the towing capacity will be more than 12000 pounds, which is a very respectable figure in the truck world.
So far, only a teaser image of the Tesla truck has been released.
