2021 Chevrolet Equinox reveals updated face and a new RS trim
As Chevy updated their big brawny SUVs, the Tahoe and Suburban, the lower rungs of their SUV ladder were yearning for an update. And now, the updates have reached their compact offering. The 2021 Chevrolet Equinox arrives with subtle styling updates and a new RS trim.
The visual updates are better defined as subtle. The new LED headlamps split by the chrome grill extending into them give the Equinox a unique face. The bumper gets minor updates too. At the rear, the lighting pattern of the tail lamps has been revised.
The new Equinox RS brings in a lot of black accents to the range. The front grill, “Bowtie” badge, new 19-inch alloy wheels, roof rails and quad exhaust tips come finished in black. The RS also gets a predominantly black interior too. A Premier version sits on top of the range, and it combines chrome with the dark treatment to give it an upmarket feel.
Powering the Equinox will be same 1.5-litre and 2.0-litre turbocharged engine, churning out 170 hp and 252 hp respectively. The former gets mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission while the latter gets a 9-speed transmission. Just like before, there will be FWD and AWD options to choose from.
The 2021 Chevrolet Equinox will go on sale soon into the year. GCC-specific prices will be announced closer to the regional launch.

Great looking car but that interior is decade behind compared to Asian or European counterparts. Come on Chevy! Just fix it
