2021 Porsche Boxster 25 pays homage to the original
Back in 1996, Porsche came up with a small sports car which grew into a benchmark with time. The Porsche Boxster is now an entry step into the Porsche range, giving you almost the fun of a 911 while burning a smaller hole in your wallet. To mark the iconic brand’s 25th anniversary, Porsche has revealed the 2021 Porsche Boxster 25.
Though the event it commemorates is quite huge, the Porsche Boxster 25 is just an update to the little sports car’s looks. It draws inspiration from the Boxster concept Porsche showcased at the 1993 North American International Auto Show in Detroit. The exterior is marked with copper finishes on side vents, front air intakes, wheels, and of course, the badging. The body can be finished in silver, black or white.
The interior is finished in Bordeaux red leather, giving it a retro vibe. The top is also similarly finished in red, with Boxster 25 embossed badging. If not a fan of red, the colour can be swapped for black, both for the interior and roof.
The Porsche Boxster 25 is based on the Boxster GTS 4.0 which means that the flat-six engine churns out 394 hp. This engine is connected to either a six-speed manual or a dual-clutch transmission. Porsche’s Active Suspension Management is a part of the standard package, so is the torque-vectoring limited-slip differential.
The special edition is available to order in the UAE and GCC already, starting at Dhs 359,500.
