Kia’s design language revolving around the tiger nose grill transformed Kia cars from being odd-looking copies of other cars to genuinely attractive machinery. Now, 13 years into the life of this design, Kia has now revamped it for the new era. The change in the design language succeeds the launch of their new logo and it debuts on an entirely new offering. This is Kia’s first battery-electric vehicle, Kia EV6.
With more than eight years under its belt, the aging Peugeot 308 gets a new generation. With design cues from the smaller 208 hatch, larger 508 sedan as well as the 3008 and 5008 crossovers, the third-gen Peugeot 308 is quite a looker and it comes with VW Golf on its radar.
Jeep’s Wagoneer is an iconic name, at least in America. Since it went the way of the Dodo in the early 90s after surviving with minor changes for three decades, Jeep aficionados have been asking for a reboot. Now Jeep has brought the name back on the tailgates of the new 2022 Jeep Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer. The new flagship Jeeps plan to push the brand into a premium territory less explored by Jeep, and clearly targeting the U.S. market as well as the Middle East, as evidenced by the white paintjob on the earlier concept.
BMW, though stagnating for a while after launching the i3 and the i8, is looking for a bigger break into the future car market with its “i” line of cars. Joining this family is the new 2022 BMW i4, a production version of their Concept i4. The new electric four-door coupe will join the iX, iX3 crossovers, i3 and i3S hatchbacks in BMW’s electric lineup.
Honda Civic is a sedan nameplate that has survived the test of time and the ongoing crossover assault. With the new generation of the sedan just around the corner, everybody is eager to see what it looks like. Don’t get too excited, as leaked images of the China-spec 2022 Honda Civic are out now, giving us a glimpse of the sedan.
Many folks will fondly remember the Xterra. It debuted as a sister model to the older body-on-frame Pathfinder, meant to be a playful more-capable alternative to its sibling, and taking on the Jeep Wrangler and the Toyota FJ Cruiser. It came in bright paintjobs and was a smaller vehicle than the Pathfinder, although both were based on versions of the Nissan pickup platform. And then the Xterra was cancelled a few years ago, for various reasons. It’s back now, as a completely different beast with a hyphen in its name.
The all-new Cadillac CT5 directly competes with cars such as the compact BMW 3-Series and Mercedes-Benz C-Class. In CT5-V form seen here, the V version has now been repositioned as an entry-level performance model, with a future Blackwing model taking the fight to the BMW M3 and the Mercedes-AMG C 63. However, this car is an entertainer in its own right.
If the V8 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 392 was poised to fight for the limelight with the Ford Bronco, the assault has now come from another direction. While we still wait for a high-performance Bronco, the pricier Land Rover Defender V8 is here now and it is a 518 hp beast available in both three-door or five-door configurations.
Porsche likes wagons. Their Panamera Sport Turismo sits in a premium wagon segment seldom explored by other manufacturers. Now, they have decided to break into yet another segment with the wagon version of their EV flagship sedan, the Taycan. This time, they gave it a lift and named it the Porsche Taycan Cross Turismo.
