Aston Martin V12 Vantage bids farewell to the 12-pot

Aston Martin recently took the covers off their most powerful SUV, the DBX 707. Following it up is the new 2023 Aston Martin V12 Vantage, the very last of its kind.

With electrification being the in thing, it is to no one’s surprise that big V12s are staring at their end. One of the brands that made a name for themselves with their V12s is Aston Martin. So the V12 Vantage employs a 5.2-litre V12 engine capable of making 690 hp as well as 753 Nm as a swan song for the model.

With this power and a bunch of weight-saving measures, the V12 Vantage improves the power-to-weight ratio by more than 20 percent, compared to the V8 model. To achieve this, Aston utilizes carbon fibre like there is no tomorrow. The composite is used to build the front bumper, bonnet, fenders, side sill, boot lid, and rear bumper.

Extending the weight-saving measures to under the skin, Aston Martin V12 Vantage uses carbon-ceramic brakes, shaving off 23 kilos. The better high-temperature performance comes as an added advantage. The new 21-inch alloy wheels are also designed to take 8 kilos off the scale.

The power for the V12 Vantage is handled by an eight-speed automatic transmission that sends the poison to the rear axle, which also houses a limited-slip differential. The suspension also gets stiffer springs and a plethora of tweaks to handle the extra oomph.

If you want to up the ante, you can opt for an optional Comfort Package. This adds more insulation, as well as a parcel shelf and a divider. There are a bunch of other options as well, including a custom luggage set, car cover, mats, and a battery conditioner.

Just like many other supercars, the very last Aston Martin V12 Vantage is limited in availability. Only 333 will ever be made, and all of them are, no surprises here, sold out.
