Hennessey Venom F5 Revolution

Hennessey Venom F5 Revolution is a track-bred hyper car

Hennessey Performance has made quite a name when churning out some mad machines. So, as they uncover the track-focused version of their Venom F5 hypercar, everybody expects something ballistic, and the Hennessey Venom F5 Revolution delivers just that.

Let us talk numbers. The track-bred version of the Hennessey F5 gets the same twin-turbo 6.6-litre V8 engine, named “Fury”, albeit with many tweaks making it fit for its application. The power and torque figures remain the same at 1,817 hp and 1,617 Nm, respectively, but the Hennessey Venom F5 Revolution weighs the least, at only 1,360 kgs. Not that the performance was insufficient by any means, but the addition of this lightness will only make the latest F5 go like a demented gazelle. Power goes only to the rear wheels through an automated single-clutch transmission.

Being made for the track, the Hennessey Venom F5 Revolution sports a host of aerodynamic upgrades. There is a colossal rear wing that is adjustable to produce more downforce. The front carbon-fibre splitter grows to reduce airflow under the car. Other aero bits include a rear diffuser, dive panes in front of the wheels, and a roof scoop to feed air into the thirsty V8.

Hennessey Venom F5 Revolution also brings in significant upgrades in the suspension department. It gets a double-wishbone suspension that, of course, spent a lot of time in the hands of Hennessey’s engineers. Adjustable dampers can be tweaked at the track with some simple tools. Finally, the alloy wheels also grow larger for fitting wider wheels, increasing the contact patch.

Going fast is the one thing the Hennessey Venom F5 Revolution is made for. Hence, with all these mechanicals, it will also offer an onboard track telemetry system to monitor several parameters of your lap.

Hennessey will only be making 24 units of the Venom F5 Revolution at $2.7 million apiece. And like most limited-run hypercars out there, the selling can happen quite quickly.
