First Look: 2025 Toyota Camry launched in the UAE

5th-Gen Hybrid System

The 2.5-litre, 4-cylinder engine and fifth-generation Toyota Hybrid System (THS 5) power the Camry. Combining the engine’s power with an electric motor, this new HEV produces 227 hp.

Toyota engineers have also tuned the new HEV system at lower speeds to reduce engine RPMs and increase power from the traction battery, thereby improving acceleration.

The Toyota Camry Hybrid will also adopt the “Beyond Zero” badge to signal Toyota’s strong commitment to reducing carbon emissions and its vision for a carbon-neutral future.

The Camry is also available with the carried-over 201 hp 2.5-litre 4-cylinder gasoline engine mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission.

Toyota claims they tuned the suspension differently for the hybrid model. The HEV has Drive Mode Select, which enables drivers to select from three driving modes—Normal, Sport, and Eco—according to the situation and driver preference.

You can drive quietly using the electric motor by pressing the EV mode button.

Interior technology

The ninth-generation Camry gets a “Voice Agent”, which provides voice control of audio, vehicle systems, navigation, and connected smartphone functions.

In addition, through the Cloud Navigation Function, the Camry uses a cloud-based navigation system to access the latest map, facility, and traffic data to give the driver full visibility of road conditions.

For the 2025 model, a 7-inch digital gauge cluster is standard on E and XLE models, while a standard 12.3-inch fully digital gauge cluster is found in the GLE grade.

The Toyota Audio Multimedia System includes a standard 8-inch touchscreen display or 12.3-inch screen. It also includes standard wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility.

It pairs well with the standard Qi wireless charging pad, which can charge up to 15W when used with compatible devices.

The Camry also offers a standard combination of USB-A and USB-C ports, with three in the front and two in the rear across all grades. Toyota Audio Multimedia allows simultaneous dual Bluetooth phone connectivity.

The new generation model also has a standard smart key with a push-to-start button and a dual-zone automatic climate control system with rear air vents.

Toyota Safety Sense 3.0

The 2025 Toyota Camry has Toyota Safety Sense 3.0 (TSS 3.0). The safety suite includes a pre-collision system with pedestrian detection, dynamic cruise control, lane departure alert with steering assist, lane tracing assist, and automatic high beams.

Comments

  1. Expensive for a car deemed as taxi 😁

  2. Hypocrasy of car dealers:

    – Build hybrid/electric cars claiming less environmental emissions and more pocket-friendly by consuming less fuel.

    – They hit you with hefty price tag for new car (see above). So whatever money you would have saved on those years will take from you in advance!

    – Any ideas on hybrid batteries? They will work only for 5-8 years and they are super expensive (5k-7k for normal non-Tesla cars) you can imagine how much it will be for luxury cars. So again, any amount you would save on fuel during those years will vanish with a battery change.

    – Claim of environmental efficiency is also a lie bacause you need more and more power plants to keep up with high demands of electricity-thirsty cars and those plants, in turn, will lead to more and more emissions.

  3. I like this car but I can’t afford

  4. When will the 2025 Camry be released?

  5. Thanks Brief and informative article

  6. Over priced and not fully loaded like XSE that available in Saudi and Qatar
