The fact that we’re running out of fossil fuels isn’t a joke. As a matter of fact, we’ve seen car manufacturers across the globe tighten the screws a bit, to achieve better fuel economy. However, according to some, the future of zero emission and zero fossil fuels is not electric cars, but rather hydrogen fuel cells. And that is exactly what Toyota showcased at the Tokyo Motor Show last month.
Hot on the heels of the first edition of the hugely successful Jumeirah Cruisin’ was the second show, held last Friday afternoon at the Biker’s Cafe. Attendance was by invite only, making for an exclusive event comprising a rich collection of exotic supercars, classic metal and superb custom bikes. For spectators, there were no entry restrictions.
A redesign of the popular Mitsubishi Pajero is long overdue. Selling in big numbers as a cheap alternative to the Toyota Prado, the Pajero has carved a niche for itself in the UAE and elsewhere. But it seems Mitusbishi is busy experimenting with what direction to go in with the next-generation model.
Subaru has this thing for showcasing hot concepts for their existing nameplates at auto shows. However, in production form, they end up being, shall we say, a bit different. In any case, Subaru has shown the new Legacy Concept at the Los Angeles Auto Show last month.
We’re not sure if the SRT Viper can be classified as an exotic supercar. But the new limited-edition Anodized Carbon Special Package is a step in the right direction. Shown at the Los Angeles Auto Show last month, the SRT enters the sub-zero level in coolness with this new add-on.
Following the revealing of the the iV-4 at the Frankfurt Motor Show earlier this year, Suzuki yet again showed off a slew of concepts at the Tokyo Motor Show this year. We’re not exactly sure of what these might turn out to be in the future, but the Crosshiker, X-Lander and Hustler concepts certainly offers some ideas on their design direction for upcoming models.
It’s not blue, nor does it have the golden wheels from the concept. Still, we’d love to take this rather puffy-looking sedan, which happens to be the new WRX, out for a spin. The Subaru WRX was officially unveiled at the 2013 Los Angeles Auto Show.
The Nissan Sentra is not exactly considered fast. But then again, don’t underestimate the power of Nissan’s tuning wing- Nismo, as they have come up with a mean looking, power-packed Nissan Sentra Nismo Concept at the 2013 Los Angeles Auto Show.
