After few exterior images made its way out in the press, the 2013 Honda Civic was revealed officially at the Los Angeles International Auto Show. The Japanese automaker will be hoping the new exterior and interior changes of the new Civic will bring them more success after the recent criticism of the previous shape.
One of America’s biggest events, the 2012 Los Angeles Auto Show, running from November 30 to December 9, yet again plays host to several production debuts and a handful of concepts. New models showcased include the Acura RLX, Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Black Series, Kia Forte/Cerato, Fiat 500L, Toyota RAV-4, Porsche Cayman, Honda Civic and the Hyundai Santa Fe LWB. The 2012 edition of the Sharjah Auto Show is expectedly as cosy as it’s always been, but it held a few interesting surprises this year. Held alongside the Middle East Motor Awards, almost all the top nominated cars were displayed together in one mega-display of great cars, including the McLaren MP4-12C, the Toyota 86 and the Porsche 911. Elsewhere, Mitsubishi launched two new unexpected models, the Lancer Fortis and the Mirage. Nissan displayed their entire range, including the new Altima, redesigned Urvan and the current GT-R, with Infiniti taking another section. Volkswagen brought out the new Polo Sedan as well as a lifted Amarok pickup.
The Jaguar XFR-S was revealed at the Los Angeles International Auto Show to become the British company’s most powerful sedan ever made. However a very limited number of the XFR-S will be produced by Jaguar.
The new Porsche Cayman made its debut at the Los Angeles International Auto Show. Lower and longer than the previous generation, under the hood are no surprises as the Cayman shares the same engines as the Porsche Boxter.
To coincide with the unveiling of the all-new Kia Forte sedan at the LA Motor Show, Kia has revealed details of the version for other markets outside North America, the 2013-2014 Kia Cerato. This model is scheduled to go on sale during the first few months of 2013 at Kia dealerships in many countries around the world.
The 2013 Toyota RAV4 was unveiled at the Los Angeles International Auto Show. The fourth generation RAV4 has been completely redesigned with a new engine under the hood.
